CAPACITOR
With IET’S PFC Systems, we restore power factor to optimal levels using capacitor banks which offset reactive power from inductive loads to boost overall efficiency. They improve the power factor by relieving the supply line of the reactive power. The capacitor achieves this by storing the magnetic reversal energy.

CAPACITOR DUTY CONTACTOR
A capacitor duty contactor is a specialized type of contactor specifically engineered to handle the tasks associated with power factor correction and reactive power compensation. Unlike standard contactors, they are designed to handle the inrush current that occurs when power capacitors are energized. These heavy-duty devices ensure that your capacitors are switched safely and effectively, increasing the stability of your electrical system and extending the lifespan of essential components. They have damping resistors that are used to limit inrush current at the time of starting. Its main role is to safely and reliably connect and disconnect capacitor banks to the power system when needed for improving power factor.
Capacitor duty contactors are built to withstand high peak currents and voltage transients, extending the lifespan of the system. In addition,in automatic power factor correction panels, capacitor duty contactors are controlled by a PFC controller which monitors power factor and switches capacitor banks on/off as needed to maintain the desired level.

SURGE ARRESTER
A surge arrestor protects other electrical equipment by arresting or discharging surge currents brought about by external (e.g. lightning) or internal (switching events) forces. By redirecting excess voltage safely to the ground, surge arresters help prevent equipment damage and maintain electrical system stability. These devices are widely used in power distribution systems, industrial environments, and residential installations.
Termination kits
Termination kits are critical components used to safely connect the ends of medium and high-voltage power cables to electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, and junction boxes. They ensure the cable’s insulation and shielding are properly terminated, preventing electrical stress, moisture ingress, and mechanical failure.
