Purpose of Position
The purpose of the Technical Engineer is to provide professional support and services to DEIF’s customers and partners, sustaining high customer satisfaction.
Major Responsibilities & Mandates
- Provide support and services in accordance with DEIF’s Service Quality Instruction and Quality Forms
- Support the Sales team with technical knowledge during pre-sales activities
- Conduct technical training on DEIF products for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure that product functionalities meet specifications defined by Product Management
- Comply with environmental, safety, and health regulations, using PPE/EPC as required.
Working Tasks
- Provide technical customer support via remote tools, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and resolution
- Identify customer needs and scope component packages
- Perform remote and on-site services
- Test new functionalities and review customer documentation prior to release
- Evaluate and report product quality issues (to relevant stakeholders)
- Maintain, evaluate and update test and training equipment, including training materials
- Conduct technical training for customers, partners, and colleagues at local and regional level
- Participate in the execution of customer projects, ensuring high technical standards
Qualifications
- Educational background as engineer/electric technician/ marine engineer/ industrial electrician
- Practical experience as electrician or similar is preferred.
- Proficient IT-user with skills in both written and spoken English
- Knowledge of configuration of different types of electronic measurement, analogue and digital devices, electronic design using electrical diagrams.
