Power Factor Correction Panel

Don’t let poor power quality cost your business. Discover how to improve efficiency, lower energy bills, and extend equipment life with IET’s Power Factor Correction solutions.

A lagging power factor caused by inductive loads (like motors, transformers, and discharge lamps) leads
to:

  • Higher energy bills & utility surcharges
  • Overloaded cables & switchgear
  • Excessive I²R losses and heat
  • Premature equipment failure
  • Reduced system capacity

Capacitor banks

With IET’s PFC Systems, we restore power factor to optimal levels using Capacitor Banks which offsets reactive power from inductive loads to boost overall efficiency

Capacitor Duty Contactor

These are devices used to energize PFC banks. They have damping resistors that are used to limit inrush current at the time of starting.

Protection Devices

Considering the inrush current, we employ circuit breakers or fuses to protect the PFC system
Here is a complete system with protection MCCB, Capacitor Contactor and the Capacitors wired in the rear part of the mounting panel.

Power Quality Analysis Services

Before recommending a solution, we conduct a Power Quality Analysis using state-of-the-art
metering equipment to identify:

  • Voltage imbalances
  • Harmonic distortion
  • Frequency deviations
  • Transients and sags
  • Power factor issues

Our PFC Solutions Serve:

  • Domestic Users – Prevent unnecessary voltage drops
  • Commercial Facilities – Avoid penalties and improve voltage stability
  • Industrial Plants – Cut costs, extend equipment life, and maximize capacity
